A free program to view PDF files with the same aspect as if they were printed.
The wide use of PDF files has generated specific programs that work with them. Some are quite complex because they have numerous options, many of which you never use. If you're looking for a free and quite basic program to open PDF files, then MuPDF is a good alternative.
MuPDF lets you view the files as if you were going to print them. Thus reading them on the monitor isn't tiring. MuPDF doesn't even need installing. Once decompressed from the ZIP, you can start working on it. In the window that opens just select the PDF file you want to read. It's that simple. The program includes some shortcut keys: M to mark a page as a reference, T to return to a referenced page, Shift+N to advance 10 pages, Shift+B to go back 10 pages, etc.
The program interface is simple. Unfortunately MuPDF has some deficiencies. For example you cannot search by word. However it is still worth trying.
